I have seen no proof offered that this was a military shipment. No secondary explosions, no weapons produced. This logically seemed to be a snatch and grab operation intended to kill hizhullah leaders. Thanks for your time, but until there is proof offered I think your basis is built on heresay.

Nice try, AV. But read clause 8 again.

2nd subclause: "...the establishment ... of an area free of any armed personnel, assets and weapons other than those of the government of Lebanon and of UNIFIL as authorised in paragraph 11..."

3rd subclause: "...there will be no weapons or authority in Lebanon other than that of the Lebanese state..."

Clearly, those principles refer to the IDF as much as they refer to Hezbollah. And, in case anyone missed it, check out the 4th subclause: "No foreign forces in Lebanon without the consent of its government." That's clear. The most effective and efficient way for Israel to enforce the "principles" on which the the called-for "long-term solution" would be based, is to withdraw.
