Charles Krauthammer on progress in Iraq, those who deny it and seek to undermine it – and why.
He writes:
Despite all the progress, military and political, the Democrats remain unwavering in their commitment to withdrawal on an artificial timetable that inherently jeopardizes our "very real chance that Iraq will emerge as a secure and stable state."
Why? Imagine the transformative effects in the region, and indeed in the entire Muslim world, of achieving a secure and stable Iraq, friendly to the United States and victorious over al-Qaeda. Are the Democrats so intent on denying George Bush retroactive vindication for a war they insist is his that they would deny their own country a now-achievable victory?
Much more here.
what a bunch of crap....re-writing all the mistakes, spin, and lies here from cheney / bush????

You people are the real terrorists. The lies you will perpetuate to keep your little fantasy going are absurd. A.) The is no "progress" due to the escalation in Iraq. The reduction in violence is due to the success of the religious/ethnic cleansing and al Sadr's Mahdi army standing down. There has been no political progress in Iraq since the day Bush overthrew Hussein. B.) If by "a war Democrats insist is his", Krauthammer means that it wasn't Bush alone, but with the collusion of Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle and the rest of the neo-nuts, than I guess technically he is correct.
I tracked your little website down from the "support terror" ads you are running trying to get people to call their Congressional rep to insist they stop refusing to vote on the PAA extension. You know as well as I do that is a complete fabrication. The House is more than willing to send Bush the exact same language in the PAA for his signature, which HE refuses to sign unless they add retroactive prosecutorial immunity for the telecoms who helped him break the law
PRIOR TO 9/11. He and you delusional people insist that Americans are in grave danger unless the telecoms get immunity. Pathetic. I do want to send my thanks for reminding me to call my Congressman to tel him NO IMMUNITY FOR TELECOMS!!!

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
--Benjamin Franklin
You guys are a bunch of cowards. You would give up all the freedoms that our forefathers fought for in the last 200 years so you can be safe in your gated communities. You can take your 'safety over freedom' ethic and shove it up your $%^$

Obama is going to crush you fools in the 2008 election.
Once this occurs, I suggest you guys get real jobs like most hardworking Americans today, instead of retreating to your little thinktanky hidey-holes for another 20 years to scheme up more neo-con garbage to sell the American people in 2028.

Never mind the 1,000,000 extra Iraq corpses, the 4,000,000 refugees, the lake of raw sewage in Baghdad, the cholera, and the power outages. Everything is hunkydory in your fevered imaginations of Iraq. If it's so great why don't ya'll move there and stop plaguing us with your reactionary extremist right wing dogma?

Neocon strategic naming 101 - name your group the opposite of what it actually does.
Nobody buys it, assholes.

Franklin, who in the Poor Richard's Almanack of 1738 is known to have written: "Sell not virtue to purchase wealth, nor Liberty to purchase power."

Wow this is a Pathetic statement!
He and you delusional people insist that Americans are in grave danger unless the telecoms get immunity. Pathetic
It's sad that this is the best spin that can be put on this. I've never heard anyone say that their lives are in danger and will continue to be in danger unless telecoms get immunity.
Now take a look at the facts instead of the incoherent spin, because FISA experired we are now forced to going back to the cumbersome long task of getting getting approval before intercepting terroristic calls. In the meantime, there isn't a rewind button to capture the conversations. Information is being lost.
Unless you're a child molestor and want to keep your pornographic twisted comments private, or a terrorist trying to communicate with someone here in the homeland, then there shouldn't be any reason why not to support this bill.
Republicans keep sticking to the facts, they never change, but the sick minds of the Democratic Liberals put a different spin on it everyday. Now it seems that you've all run out of spin and have resorted to repeating the same old tired incorrect information. The voters are smarter than that and won't fall for this unrealistic garbage. You're wasting your breath.
